Skin booster

Tired and dull skin with signs of aging is something that worries many. Maybe you feel that regular skin care is not quite enough despite struggling with acids, hydration and face masks. Then skinbooster is an excellent treatment that moisturizes the skin for a long time and restores its former fullness, elasticity and glow.

What is skin booster?

The body naturally contains the substance hyaluronic acid. It is a type of sugar whose job is to bind moisture in the skin and thus preserve elasticity and volume. Over the years, our body's own hyaluronic acid decreases, which causes the skin to react by losing elasticity, becoming looser and more easily showing signs of aging such as fine lines and wrinkles. During a Skinbooster treatment, you simply fill it with laboratory-produced hyaluronic acid. This is done by injecting hyaluronic acid under the skin. There, the acid attracts moisture and also stimulates collagen production, which leads to fuller skin. At Pro Clinique, we use two different products for skinbooster treatments: RRS® Hyalift® 35 and RRS Hyalift 75 PROactive. By offering different products, we can easily adapt the treatment so that it gives optimal results for each individual.

Does skin booster hurt?

Some people experience mild pain when a skin booster is inserted, but many also find that it doesn't feel much at all. If you're worried about pain, there's always the option of anesthesia.

Is it possible to only do skinbooster on the face?

It's not just the skin on your face that can become dull and saggy over the years. At Pro Clinique, you can also treat areas such as your neck, décolleté and hands with skinbooster.

Are there any side effects associated with the treatment?

Side effects such as some swelling, tenderness, redness and bruising are relatively common after a treatment with skinbooster. These usually disappear after a few days or up to a week. After injections there is always a certain risk of infection, but this is very rare.

What contraindications are there for treatment with skinbooster?

If you suffer from any of these diseases, you should consult your doctor before considering a treatment with skinbooster: Diabetes, autoimmune diseases, diseases that affect collagen, herpes and skin infections, or previous tumors in the skin. Pregnant and breastfeeding people should refrain from treatment. The same applies to people who are treated with blood thinners such as Waran. Hypersensitivity to Lidocaine (anesthetic) may mean that you have to use preparations without this.

Should I consider anything special after the treatment?

You should completely avoid using tobacco during the first 24 hours after treatment. It is also a good idea to avoid wearing makeup during these hours. You should also not be in the sun or use a sauna until four days have passed. Also, be sure to continue to protect your skin with a good sun protection factor.

When can I see the results?

After just one treatment, you can start to see positive changes in your skin, but to get really good results, it is recommended to undergo a course of three treatments. You should wait two to four weeks between each treatment. After the course, you will see a significant improvement in the quality of your skin. To maintain the results, it is then sufficient to have one treatment per year.
